After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, Jessica Kender began her career as a scenic artist, painting for shows on and off Broadway. Raised in New Jersey, where only the strong survive, she moved cross-country to Los Angeles, where she began her motion picture work as a set designer and art director.
For the past 19 years, Jessica has production designed a variety of looks for Amazon’s Daisy Jones & the Six and Goliath, Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere and Tiny Beautiful Things, HBO’s The Brink, Showtime’s Dexter, Shondaland’s The Catch and Station 19, NBC’s Medium and FOX’s Life in Pieces, along with feature film, Soaked in Bleach. These shows have taken her around the world from Pakistan to Switzerland and around the country from New England to Seattle - all from inside the zone. Jessica has received an Emmy nomination and Art Directors Guild nomination for her work on Daisy Jones & the Six, and two Art Directors Guild nominations for her work on Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere and Future Man S1, where she returned for S2 to create new worlds - this time, 150 years in the future.
Currently, she resides in beautiful downtown Burbank with her husband, set designer, Sam Page, their daughter, Madeline and son, Maxwell, her best designs to date.
